By Train Hassocks Station is on the main London to Brighton railway line and is only a 12 minute walk away. Brighton is a 12 minute train ride away and London is just over an hour away. If you arrive with heavy bags, we can collect you from the station if arranged in advance. From the ticket office side of the station, walk down the hill to meet the main road. Continue walking along this road in the same direction until you reach a crossroads with traffic lights. Turn left and walk for a few minutes until you reach South Downs Nurseries, on your left. About 50 metres from the garden centre entrance on your left, you will see the entrance to South Downs Lodges, also on your left.
By Car If you choose to drive, we are easily accessed from the A23 and parking is available. From the North: From the A23, take the turning signposted Hassocks and turn right at the bottom of the slip road. Continue to the end of this road and turn left onto the A273. Continue on this road for 3 miles. You will pass the Jack and Jill pub on your left and a natural burial ground on your right. Continue for 300 metres and the entrance to South Downs Lodges is on the right. Access is through a wooden gate adjacent to the Hassocks football club entrance. If you reach South Downs Nurseries, also on your right, you have gone too far.
From the South: Exit the A23 at the first junction signposted Hassocks onto the A273. Continue on this road for 3 miles. You will pass the Jack and Jill pub on your left and a natural burial ground on your right. Continue for 300 metres and the entrance to South Downs Lodges is on the right. Access is through a wooden gate adjacent to the Hassocks football club entrance. If you reach South Downs Nurseries, also on your right, you have gone too far.
By Air The nearest airport is London Gatwick. There are frequent trains that travel direct to Hassocks from the airport in 25 minutes, or we are a 35 minute car journey away. Transfers to and from the airport can be arranged for a charge.
By Bus There are bus stops within 100 metres of the site providing easy access from Brighton and the coast.
